Introduction to Perthshire
	Perthshire is the true centre of Scotland with most of the area well away from the coasts. The impressive mountains, deep lochs and castles are all easily located near the tourist towns of Pitlochry and Crieff. Typical of the scenery is the charming Hermitage folly of Ossian's Hall, shown left, situated in an area of fir trees and fast flowing mountain streams.
Not all the scenery is wild however as there are a large number of popular gardens available to visit including those at Drummond Castle, shown right.
