Hill House
Title: Hill House
Description: Hill House can be found in the town of Helensburgh, overlooking the River Clyde to the west of Glasgow and was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. It is now owned by the National Trust for Scotland and was completed in 1904 for its first residents, the Glasgow publisher Walter Blackie and his family. This view shows the front of the house facing the River Clyde with the living room bay window on the ground floor and the dining room and tower stairway to the right. The rooms inside are well worth visiting for lovers of the Mackintosh style.
