Burns Cottage is part of the Burns National Heritage Park in Alloway. Robert Burns
is Scotlands national poet who lived in the 18th century. His famous tales include
such characters as Tam o' Shanter and his songs include Amazing Grace. Burns was born here on the 25th January 1759
and lived in this cottage until he was seven. It was built by William Burns, his father, and contains four rooms.
